Getting started

Batohi tells you what actually happened to the mail you sent. It tracks opens and clicks, detects replies, and scores recipient engagement — and it labels uncertainty honestly instead of showing a flattering number.

The compose flow

You write mail in Gmail as usual. The Batohi Chrome extension injects a tracking pixel and rewrites links at compose time. When you send, Batohi records the message and its recipients.

The four numbers

For every message and recipient, Batohi maintains four honest-by-default counts:

• Sent — messages you sent.
• Opened — genuine opens only. Proxy prefetches (Google's image proxy, Apple Mail Privacy Protection), self-views of your own Sent folder, and scanner/bot signatures are recorded but excluded. See Methodology.
• Clicked — link clicks.
• Replied — replies detected via your connected Gmail mailbox (Gmail Pub/Sub → history → metadata attribution).

Reply intelligence

Connect a mailbox in the dashboard to turn on reply detection. Batohi watches your Gmail via Pub/Sub, fetches metadata-only diffs, and attributes replies to the original thread — never reading bodies. Read this data from an agent via the MCP tools, or receive events via webhooks.

What Batohi never does

• Never adds a "Sent with Batohi" signature to your mail.
• Never reads email bodies — only metadata, for reply attribution.
• Never counts a proxy prefetch or a self-view as a genuine open.
